The Mirror Has Vanished

The mirror has vanished,
The fear has vanquished.
The hustle and the hassle,
The noise and the stress,
Everything has resumed,
As if it never happened.
Have we learned?
Have we improved?
Have we become better?
In our thoughts, in our actions, and in our deeds?
Or did we hide the reflection,
and returned to being an infection,
an incurable disease?
Before the mirror vanished,
What did you see?
A path with lights that would lead to the stars?
Or a dark tunnel that reminded you of the old scars?
