Losing

Odds are against me,

And still am wary,

Of losing something,

That was truely never mine.

Fear the loss,

Because of uncertainty,

Yet I know,

How heavy regret be.

Dilemma, conundrum, quandary,

Choose the word of your choice,

Battle of mind and heart,

Each saying a thing in its voice.

What if this, what if that,

The spiralling mind,

Does not stop,

Giving false hope.
